MidAmerica Rehabilitation Hospital Physician Honored for Leadership and Clinical Excellence
Dr. Cielo Navato-Dehning was recently touted for her medical leadership and excellence at HealthSouth’s Medical Directors’ Meeting held in Scottsdale, Arizona from March 10-12.
Dehning received the Medical Director of the Year Award for the central region. Criteria for the Medical Director of the Year Award include professionalism, medical leadership, interpersonal skills, patient experience, clinical programs/outcomes and communication skills. She is one of six medical directors across HealthSouth’s network of 123 hospitals to receive this award.

Dehning graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and completed residency training at the University of Kansas Medical Center in physical medicine and rehabilitation in 1995 with the distinction of chief resident. She is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation and spinal cord injury medicine.
