Mid America Rehabilitation Hospital Treats More Than 100,000 Patients in 25 Year Span
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – This June, Mid America Rehabilitation Hospital celebrates 25 years of providing inpatient and outpatient therapy in the Kansas City area. During this time, the hospital has provided therapy services to more than 100,000 patients.
One of those patients is Scott Sameulson. Sameulson was treated at Mid America Rehabilitation Hospital 22 years ago after a motorcycle accident left him paralyzed – changing his life instantly. His story of overcoming challenges and regaining independence will be presented at the 25th Anniversary Celebration being held Thursday, June 5 at the hospital, located at 5701 West 110th St. in Overland Park.
“Seeing patients like Scott overcome unexpected challenges makes us incredibly proud,” says Troy Dedecker, CEO of Mid America Rehabilitation Hospital. “We have been privileged to serve so many people over the past 25 years and those patient successes and stories are what keep us motivated. We like seeing our patients getting back to their everyday lives and doing the things they love.”
This celebration will also recognize 20-25 year employees. Anticipated community guests include Congressman Kevin Yoder and representation from the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce.
This event is open to the community. Please RSVP by calling Cheryl Nunn at 913 491-2410 or emailing Cheryl.Nunn@healthsouth.com.
